Balaji Ramaswami

Balaji Ramaswami is a senior professional with more than 25 years of functional expertise in financial services and processes covering risk mitigation across credit risk, operational risk, process design and regulatory engagement. He has extensive experience in Risk and Receivables verticals serving small and middle market businesses in GCC and India.

He brings a unique combination of functional, technical and entrepreneurial skills, which has enabled him to build and manage successful teams.

  • Financial Risk and Investment Management (IIM-C)

G. Viswanathan

G. Viswanathan is a commerce graduate and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Company Secretaries of India having qualified in the year 1988 and 1990 respectively. He has the distinction of standing All India 4th in the final exam of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India besides being the recipient of the Taxmann award for the Best Paper on Corporate Tax Planning and Management. He has been a member of the Expert Committee of Indirect Taxes at the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI). He has also regularly contributed to various submissions by the Construction Federation of India (CFI) to the government on policy matters in the past.

Viswanathan has 28 years of rich professional experience in various industries such as Automobile , Retail , Elevators , Leather and Construction & Real Estate, Liquor, etc. He has worked both in India as well as abroad and has been part of the strategic team formed by his organization which was responsible for implementing VAT within the organization when it was introduced in India.

His core areas have been Finance, Indirect Taxes, Accountancy, Strategic Management, Secretarial and Legal.

He has regularly represented the Organizations were he worked on Indirect Tax matters at various levels. Viswanathan has successfully handled audits conducted by the Department, CAG apart from special audits conducted by Director General of Central Excise Intelligence.

He has been a member of the Expert Committee of Indirect Taxes at the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI). He has also regularly contributed to various submissions by the Construction Federation of India (CFI) to the government on policy matters in the past.

Viswanathan has in the past been actively involved in training CS students in the various programs conducted by the Institute.

He also been selected by the Indirect Taxes Committee of ICAI as a trainer for Goods and Services Tax (GST) which is likely to be introduced in India shortly and has conducted several programs on GST in the recent couple of months.

He is currently assisting a Hyderabad based software firm on the functional logic for preparing the GST Returns and represents the firms and their principals who are one of the GSP selected by GSTN at the various workshops conducted by GSTN at Delhi.


Makesh Gopalakrishnan

Makesh is a technocrat with unique blend of enterprise consulting and modern-age product development. He brings over a decade of experience in implementation and integration of ERPs such as PeopleSoft, Oracle and Openbravo. He has led large teams and been instrumental in designing and automating business processes with cross-functional teams across Geographies.

Having started his entrepreneurship during his first year of college 17 years ago, his journey spans 4 startups and has shaped over 85 product ideas. His vision is to build products that people fall in love with and a brand that is socially responsible. He combines the art of design thinking and technology engineering to craft products.

His deep passion and personal mission lies in using technology to make social impact. He currently works with the Tamil Nadu health and police departments to transform 108 emergency services through which ambulances can clear traffic signals with ease. He is the ideator of “Be the Tree Hugger”, that enables nature lovers to connect and grow urban forests by planting trees and tracking them.

Being a first generation entrepreneur, he believes in the words of Abraham Lincoln “The best way to predict the future is to create it”
